In Santa Ana, I ran into Nabeel again who I had met in Leon during volcano boarding. I headed out one morning with him and some folks he had met to the nearby town of Juayua (why-yoo-ah). Every weekend it holds a food festival, so we decided to check it out.
The bus was easy, and we hopped off in the center of town. We got directions from a shopkeeper, and headed off towards the waterfalls 20 minutes out of town which I had read about and then forgotten about.
It was an easy but dusty walk to get to Los Chorros de la Calera.
Having forgotten about the waterfalls, I had no swimsuit or towel with me. But they were just too inviting, so I jumped in with my undies and decided to deal with damp clothing later.
So worth it.
We all had fun swimming around. Nick had a GoPro we put to use.
Blurry picture from water drops makes me giggle.
We did a group shot with the GoPro which clicked every 5 seconds. Instead of picking the best, here's the sequence. Left to right: Martina, Philip, Kyla, me, Nick, and Nabeel.

Arms up photo! But nick thinks we're done.
How could you turn it off already?!
EVERYONE crazy picture!
And one last gangster face in the background as he turns it off the second time.
We all got plates of food from the vendors while listening to live music.
There were side streets lined with artisan booths next to the main square to browse.
Party tour bus playing music. The playboy bunny was the catalyst for actually taking a photo.
